Mario Kart 64.
It really depends what you are really wanting in a game, but if you can't decide, what not pursue some other new interest?Go read a new book, go somewhere different. Go clubbing or some dance festival. Go for a drive to some place that you've never been before. Try a new sport with your friends.

Psh. If you're looking for a quality story line and in depth game play. But if you're looking for mushroom stomping and platform jumping then Mario takes the cake.

But you talked about the best game ever. A game that is the best game ever must excel in all areas.

Well Zelda doesn't excel in mushroom stomping. And Morrowind doesn't excel in sniper rifles, and COD doesn't excel in magic spells. So it seems we have a problem.

Seconded, Oblivion had a better system but the world of morrowind was infinitely better. The small towns you got after the House quest line was awesome.
